The Brest metalworkers, these steel artists that I admired while working alongside them, made me want to create my own works too.
I worked for a long time in metallurgy, first on wind turbines, then in the manufacture of industrial crepe machines. Later, I discovered the world of agri-food, in a milk powder factory. The few discarded parts sometimes deserved a second life. Assembled by three weld points, these were my first creations.
After another career change, I lost my raw material and had to reinvent myself. But I remained fascinated by steel…
ti-zef was born then, on a simple piece of cardboard. A few lines of felt, some cuts with a cutter and my template was finished. All I had to do was find a piece of flat iron, trace a few cuts with a jigsaw and then an angle grinder: my « ti-zef » was born!
The Brest drizzle enhanced it by giving it its ochre patina. In fact, I put it to rust in my garden for weeks! It ages like good wine!
Fortunately, our Brest drizzle does not exist anywhere else! ti-zef will therefore remain a local product, made in Brest itself.
Ti-zef is not just a simple statuette, because he can talk.
Impertinent and cheeky, in his rusty outfit, he will always know how to surprise you!
Elegant when he carries a musical instrument, a ball or an umbrella, ti-zef also likes to dance with Zéfine in the sun or the rain! If you want to adopt him, he will find a place at your home and can even carry your keys!
Each statuette is unique and numbered. It is also customizable. I can respond to your requests in the ti-zef spirit, of course!
More than a sculptor, I define myself as a creator of movements.
